My Professional Background
I went to university in Falmouth, Cornwall, where I studied Graphic Design and gained work experience in the UK before setting out for an adventure to Australia, where I have been ever since.
I’ve worked in a range of roles since coming to Australia and similarly within Nature Play Solutions I’ve undertaken a variety of roles where my design background – with the needed attention to detail and creative flair – has always served me well.
My Philosophy
Growing up on the South Coast of England my childhood was full of weekends that were spent in the New Forest horse riding or with family friends in the countryside walking dogs, playing down at the stables or getting lost in acres of garden. Summer holidays were spent at the beach – subject to the weather being agreeable – and I’ve always had a passion for life in the outdoors.
My background has not required a lot of interaction with children and while I don’t have any formal child development training I am continually impressed (and sometimes really surprised) by the tangible benefits our work delivers for children, whether it be through providing a new play space or through our other play activities.
